Project Description:
The improvement project consisted of reconstructing 9 blocks
of street pavement with Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) paving. Six
(6) blocks of the street were reconstructed between existing
curb and gutter. Three (3) blocks were entirely reconstructed
from curb to curb; this area included new drainable base and
longitudinal sub-drain. Tipton Elementary school access is
on Lemon Street; therefore the project was on a tight schedule.
The project started after school was out and was in operation
by August.
