Available Position:  Environmental Engineer - Water/Wastewater Treatment - Oskaloosa office

Garden & Associates is seeking a Civil Environmental Engineer experienced in the design of water treatment and/or wastewater treatment facilities to fill a new position in our firm.  A significant project backlog currently exists.  Experience with the design, construction and operation of water and wastewater systems is essential; a desire to expand the field of expertise to include all typical municipal civil engineering interests is preferred.  This engineer will prepare preliminary engineering studies, perform design calculations, prepare construction plans and specifications, perform construction administration, and will attend meetings with clients and regulatory agency representatives.  The ideal candidate will have an Iowa P.E. and a Masters degree in Environmental Engineering.   We offer an excellent benefit package including signing & performance bonuses, vacation and sick leave, medical, vision and life insurance, 401K retirement plan, relocation assistance, and the opportunity to excel within a growing, successful company.  There is a definite potential for company ownership. 

Available Position:  Licensed Surveyor - Oskaloosa office

Garden & Associates is seeking to fill a position for a surveyor. The person filling this position will perform land surveys, topographic surveys, construction surveys and will work on a great variety of projects related to municipal improvements for water, wastewater, and streets, and private development. The various job responsibilities will include working closely with clients to define tasks to be completed, researching property ownership records, collecting a record of topographic conditions, reviewing field information with engineers and technicians, and construction staking. The person filling this position will be a contributing part of a well respected, experienced, and thriving team of professional engineers and surveyors.

Garden & Associates is seeking an individual with experience in surveying, construction staking and as crew chief.  Applicants must also be a licensed land surveyor.  Familiarity with state of the art survey equipment, an ability to direct survey technicians, and an ‘eye for detail’ is required.

Available Position:  Civil Engineer - Creston office

Individual for general civil, water, and wastewater projects with residential and commercial development project opportunities.  Engineer will prepare preliminary engineering studies, perform design calculations, prepare construction plans and specifications, perform construction administration, and will attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.  Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with computer aided design and other computer-based technology experience is required.  Competitive compensation for experience and benefit package available.

Garden & Associates is seeking an individual to perform construction observation; monitoring installation of water and sewer piping and street construction.  Applicants must be knowledgeable in construction practices, construction testing, construction staking, site assessment and maintaining construction records.
